Cultivating
change
together.
The Minneapolis Foundation drives collective action to realize strong, vibrant communities. We cultivate generosity by taking action on the greatest civic, social, and economic needs—making grants, driving research and advocacy, and providing services to donors seeking to make a difference.
Our Approach
Through Donor Advised Funds and other tools, we create a seamless giving experience for generous individuals, families, and businesses. Our personalized support, tax benefits, and collective giving opportunities enable donors to make a bigger impact on the causes they care about.
For nonprofits, we offer a range of grant opportunities year-round, focusing on issues like racial and economic justice and reimagining education. We also partner with civic leaders, businesses, and other changemakers to act on other pressing issues — from climate change to health, the arts, and more.
