Protolabs Foundation STEM Grants
The Protolabs Foundation, a Signature Fund of the Minneapolis Foundation, will begin accepting applications for its next round of STEM grants on September 28, 2022.
The Protolabs Foundation will award grants of up to $25,000 to schools and nonprofit organizations that provide STEM programming for students in grades 5-12, with a focus on programs serving students of color and those from low-income families. This funding opportunity is open to schools and organizations in these areas where Protolabs has a strong employee presence: the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, Wake and Durham Counties in North Carolina, and the City of Nashua, New Hampshire.
Priority will be given to programs that focus on transforming students’ interest in STEM fields into a demonstrated ability to succeed in a STEM career, or those that assist parents and families as they support a child’s STEM education.
Application Process
All applications will be reviewed after the application deadline of 12 p.m. CDT on November 9, 2022, with funding decisions communicated to applicants in March 2023. The Protolabs Foundation plans to award up to $200,000 in funding, with grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000. Applications must be submitted through the Minneapolis Foundation’s online portal.
Before starting your application, be sure to download and review the Grant Guidelines and Application Preview Worksheet.
Eligibility
Funding will be awarded to 501(c)(3) nonprofits and schools that support youth and their families in areas of Minnesota, North Carolina, and New Hampshire where Protolabs has an employee presence.
