Interview with an Artist: Melodee Strong

The Restore-Rebuild-Reimagine Fund was established in May of 2021. The fund was created to restore cultural corridors that were damaged during the civil unrest following the murder of George Floyd. Melodee Strong was chosen to paint murals on East Lake Street as part of the RRR Fund. We spoke with Melodee about what influenced her work, what she hopes the community will take away from the art, and what it meant to be a part of the project.
